One who performs his duty without attachment, surrendering the results unto the Supreme Lord, is unaffected by sinful action, as the lotus leaf is untouched by water.

Like a lotus leaf that lives in water yet is never wetted by it, one who acts without attachment and offers all actions to Brahman is never touched by the stain of karma.
